Pattachitra is a traditional Indian art form known for its intricate detailing and mythological storytelling. Originating from Odisha (and also practiced in parts of West Bengal), it is painted on cloth or dried palm leaves. The themes mainly depict stories of Lord Jagannath, Krishna, Ramayana, and Mahabharata. Natural colours, bold outlines, decorative borders, and stylized figures are key features of Pattachitra paintings.
